Scope of work

What this service covers

Spraying the trail you can see treats the symptom. Ant control that works means finding the colony — which for most species is hidden in wall voids, subfloors, or a satellite nest somewhere near a moisture source — and treating it directly, then sealing entry points so the next colony picks a different address.

  • Species identification to determine colony location and treatment strategy
  • Interior and exterior baiting and gel placement
  • Perimeter treatment to prevent satellite colonies
  • Entry-point sealing and moisture source correction
  • Attractant removal guidance (food storage, access points, pet food)
  • Follow-up visit to confirm the colony is eliminated, not repopulated

Warning signs

Signs you need Ants

  • A consistent line or trail of ants moving along a surface
  • Ants gathering around sugar, pet food or moisture sources
  • Small piles of sawdust-like frass near woodwork
  • Winged ants (alates) appearing indoors, usually in spring
  • Ants appearing in the bathroom or kitchen even after wiping the trail away

Recognising the pest early is the cheapest intervention there is. If you’re unsure what you’re looking at, request a pest inspection & quote instead of guessing.

The process

How Ants service works

  1. 1

    Step 1.Identify the species

Carpenter ants damage structure; odorous house ants trail; pharaoh ants are tropical and nest in warm, wet voids. Treatment differs for each.

  2. 2

Step 2.Trace the trail to the colony

Your provider follows the foraging trail and inspects voids, subfloors and concealed cavities to find the nest.

  3. 3

Step 3.Treat the colony at source

Bait stations and gel are placed where the colony actually is, plus a perimeter barrier against new satellite nests.

  4. 4

    Step 4.Confirm elimination

A follow-up verifies no new activity. If ants persist, the colony is re-located and treated.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Why do the ants keep coming back after spraying?

Most household sprays kill the foragers you can see while the queen and the rest of the colony are untouched. Colony-level baiting works from the inside out, and takes longer — that's precisely why it succeeds.

Are carpenter ants dangerous?

Carpenter ants don't sting, but they excavate and can cause real structural damage, particularly in damp timber. If you suspect carpenter ants, get it inspected before the damage spreads.

How long until ants are gone?

Typically 3–14 days depending on species and colony size. You may see increased activity briefly during treatment — that's the bait working, not a failure.
